Object Relational Mapping for Adobe AIR

April 2nd, 2008 by mark

Its been ages since my last entry. I’ve been busy lately starting a new development company, adopting a similar philosophy as Joel Spolsky at Fog Creek Software. I want to incorporate the same focus on design and quality as companies such as Apple has achieved. This means finding smart people with the right attitude and then giving them the respect and space to get things done, collaborating with like-minded companies and individuals to develop a deep understanding of the business domain of our customers and target markets, working with a mature team who understand how to build customer relationships and earn trust, and participating in the development community to stay close to the best thinking on design and practices.

One of the user groups in which I am involved is the local Flex Users Group in Wellington. I was planning to present on reflection, annotations, and the dynamic qualities of AS3. I thought code related to ORM would provide the best example material. As happens, this evolved into a full project, and the first release has been published to RIAForge. I’m interested in any feedback or collaborators to improve the level of testing and features.
